Leeds Record Fair: A Vinyl Lover’s Dream

Leeds Record Fair: A Vinyl Lover’s Dream

Leeds Record Fair has now become one  of the biggest vinyl events in the UK and the February 8th event was not different. Once  every month, Kirkgate Indoor Market comes alive with this fair, which is a must-visit  for the enthusiasts and the curious alike.

This month’s fair was quite large and had many records across  different eras and types of music. Whether you are into Punk, Soul, Indie, Rock,  Reggae or even rare Japanese pressings, you were likely to find something to take home. With  a collection that includes over 100,000 rare and collectable vinyl LPs and singles, attendees  had the chance to browse through classic albums as well as rare records. Also, there was a great  collection of CDs for those who prefer digital audio.

Buyers had a great time walking through the two  halls of the fair as each of them had something different to offer. The 1976 Hall had  some vintage classics, whereas the 1981 Hall was more focused on the niche, eclectic genres that  would appeal to almost any music lover. You will get rare and collectible 45s or just  a great deal at the Leeds Record Fair with over 40 dealers from all over the UK. People  from London, Newcastle, Manchester and even Southport brought their best vinyls to the fair.

It  isn’t just for record collectors; Kirkgate Indoor Market, where the fair is held, is  a beautiful Art Nouveau structure and has a great atmosphere, which makes it a great place to shop. Also,  the food and drink vendors around the market ensured that everyone was well taken care of throughout the day.
