To ensure you are on the latest software and getting the most from your A2D2 Stream,
please read the following carefully to update your unit to the latest version of our software
before you use it.
Here’s what’s new in v1.3.1:

🎧 Bluetooth Connectivity
You can now pair A2D2 Stream with Bluetooth speakers or headphones, making your
setup even more flexible — ideal for private listening or portable sound.

 

🔁 One-Tap Future Updates
From this release forward, A2D2 will handle firmware updates automatically. You’ll get
notified in the app and can install updates with a single tap — no more manual downloads.

 

🍎 Improved AirPlay Compatibility
We’ve rebuilt our AirPlay support for better performance, especially with Apple HomePods
and Apple TV.

 

📶 Smarter WiFi Setup
With the new iOS and Android app updates, A2D2 now automatically detects nearby WiFi
networks when setting up or switching networks — no need to enter SSIDs manually. (Only
available when combined with our new Android or iOS app launching 13th May)

 

⚙️ Rebuilt Audio Engine
We’ve completely overhauled our audio subsystem to deliver:
 Improved latency
 A new latency/stability slider in the settings to help you optimise streaming for your
home network conditions

 

Option 1 – Easiest and fastest – direct connection to your network router

 

🔧 How to Update:
1. Connect A2D2 Stream directly to your router via a network cable.

2. On a computer, download the firmware file here
👉 Download Firmware v1.3.1 (.swu)

3. On the same device you downloaded the file,  open a web browser and go to:
http://a2d2.local/settings

4. Click “Software Update” and drag the downloaded file into the update box.

5. Wait for A2D2 to reboot (about 5 minutes), and you’re all set!

6. Follow the setup guide here. If you are setting up the device after the middle of May
2025, update your phone app first to the latest version of the app as this will
streamline the install and ignore the setup guide online.

Option 2 – WiFi Setup

🔧 How to Update:
1. Install A2D2 app for iOS or Android

2. Follow this setup guide here to connect A2D2 Stream to your WiFi

3. Once A2D2 Stream is connected to your WiFi, On a computer, download the
firmware file here

👉 Download Firmware v1.3.1 (.swu)

4. On the same device you downloaded the file,  open a web browser and go to:
http://a2d2.local/settings

5. Click “Software Update” and drag the downloaded file into the update box.

6. Wait for A2D2 to reboot (about 5 minutes), and you’re all set!

Look out for our updated app available on iOS and Android from mid May 2025 which is
required to unlock the Smarter WiFi Setup option.
